My review of my first year at intermediate

Week 8 Term 4

Bonjour,

This week has been fun.  We have been doing discussions for half the week, the first discussion was about minds.  We had to think of the definition of mind, how it was different from the brain, and then we were split into groups to think about different things, and decide if they had minds.  It was quite challenging and quite fun.  The discussion we started yesterday (Wednesday) was about art, and what art is.  We did the same thing with the art that we did about minds.  Another thing that has happened yesterday was my finger, I was doing cartwheels with Grace, and I did it weirdly, and failed, and ended up landing on my pinkie finger.  Mum bandaged it up, and its not broken because I can move it, but it's still really sore.

My Song Lyrics Moving Image

This video is similar to my poetry moving image, except it's with a song.

Week 7 Term 4

Bonjour,

It's week 7 already, almost the end of the year!  The disco was this week and the theme was 'Pray For Paris'  To support the terrorist attacks happening there at the moment.  I didn't really have anything related to the theme, so I just wore my french top, not from Paris, but it has french on it.  The bands paid a visit to the primary's on Thursday, and one of those primary's was my old school, Te Awamutu Primary.  I remember last  year when I was still there and the intermediate came and preformed, it was so cool, and it inspired me to learn to play an instrument.  I play keyboard/piano, but I'm not in band because they needed a experienced player, and since it was my first year playing, I couldn't do it.  Keyboard is the only instrument in band that you have to have experience in to play, all the rest you can be in your first year and still be in band.  I could've chosen another instrument and been able to play in band, but I really wanted to do keyboard.  Next week is the start of December which means under one month til Christmas!!

Week 6 Term 4

Bonjour,

Well, athletics was this week, and the worst thing happened.  I didn't miss out on getting into WIMS athletics in case you're wondering.  Something WORSE happened.  The day of athletics I woke up with a sore throat and stomach.  I thought it would pass, but then............... I threw up in the toilet.  Mum told me I was staying home, and I was gutted.  I was throwing up all morning, and then I needed a shower.  I fainted four times in the shower, still throwing up WHILE I was unconscious.  My mum called an ambulance, but they took ages to get there because it was a non emergency because I was still breathing.  When the eventually got there they took my blood pressure, and listened to what happened.  They told me I needed to drink powerade because it had electrolights in it which would help me recover.  I stayed of school, then tried to go to school on Wednesday, but only survived until lunch, and came home again.  On Thursday I was feeling much better and I went to school for the whole day, same with Friday, and I slowly recovered back to normal.  That was my crazy week.

Week 4 & 5 Term 4

Bonjour,

Gala was in week 4.  It was awesome, and hopefully the PTA raised lots of money for the school through this.  The money from the gala is going to things like heat pumps in the library, more library books etc.  I was there for the whole gala because my mum is part of the PTA.  The theme was Sports Mania, and it went from 5-8pm.  We have been doing more practice for athletics in during week 5 because athletics is next week!  I can't wait, and I really hope I do well so I can go to WIMS athletics in week 8.  Because if I go to WIMS athletics then I will get a badge, and I haven't gotten any badges all year which is pretty bad.  Wish me luck!!!

Week 3 Term 4

Bonjour,

The Light Party was on Saturday, and I went to it with my friends Jessica and Madison.  It was really fun, we were there from 3:50 til about 6:00.  It was so much fun, and I go to the light party every year so on Saturday it would have been my eighth time!  The Light Party started when I first moved into Te Awamutu, and it is on the 31st of October each year, and it is pretty much a Halloween celebration.  The best thing about the Light Party is that everything is free!!!!  You just come from 3:30 onwards and then you can go on rides and play lots of games, and have fun.  This event is organised by the Te Awamutu churches an it is an amazing event, so thank you to all the people who organised it for us, it is very much appreciated.

Week 2 Term 4

This week the main event was our schools Grandparents Concert.  From 12pm onwards on Friday we were allowed to show our grandparents around the school, and show them what we have been doing for the past three terms.  At one o'clock we took all the grandparents into the hall for a concert.  There were Kapa Haka acts, the last song from our production 'Battle of the Bands', some songs from our band, a performance from our Jump Jam competition group, and lots more.  It was a really great day, and my grandparents came as well, but they didn't stay for the concert because I wasn't in it.  I think that the grandparents really enjoyed themselves on Friday, at least I hope they did, and I'm going to try and get involved in something next year.

Week 1 Term 4

It's already!
This year has gone really fast, and I can't believe I'm going to be a year 8 next year, it feels like just yesterday I started here.  We haven't done much for the start of the term, but on Wednesday I went sailing, and it was REALLY fun.  We learnt how to sail, then we sailed in pairs, and then we learnt how to sail by ourselves!  Milly, our instructor let us play lots of games when we had learnt how to sail.  We had to chase after balls, and if you didn't get one you had to try and steal of others.  It was an amazing experience, and a big thank you goes out to Milly who was our instructor, and a really good teacher.

Week 10 Term 3

Bonjour!

I came second in speeches this week, second out of all the year sevens in the school.  It was so scary when I had to say my speech in front of the whole school, but everyone said that I did great. Everyone was really proud that I had come so far, and I didn't really mind if I hadn't gotten a place anyway because at least I made it to school finals!  My speech was about how technology is affecting face to face communication.  Everyone thought it was really interesting.  For the year eight speeches, only Oksana got a placing, and her speech was about how competitions are a good thing.  All the people who got a place for speeches, get an award at the end of the year.  Another good thing about coming second in speeches is that I get my photo on the achieves board!  The achieves board is for people who make big achievements, and represent our school, and I'm going to be on it!  Can't wait until next term starts, but I also am looking forward to the holidays, so I can have a break.

Week 9 Term3

Bonjour,

This term is almost over, YAY!  I have school finals for speeches next week and I am getting quite nervous.  Lot of things have happened this week.  One of the major things that happened this week was my foot.  Grace accidentally stepped on it in the relay on Thursday, so it is swollen and bruised.  But I forgave her!  Another thing that happened this week was the Japan trip.  A group of lucky students have payed to travel to Japan.  They left on Monday, and don't come back until Saturday next week.  The only person from my class who went was Mya, a year 8.  Another event that happened was that the Aims Games people got back, and they had heaps of trophies with them.

Week 8 Term 3

Bonjour,

School speech finals are in two weeks, and I'm so nervous!  The year 7's are on Tuesday, and the year 8's on Thursday.  To make matters worse, I"m the only year 7 from my class doing it.  Anyway, lots of other things have happened this week, for example:

Aims Games
The Aims Games people left on Monday, and got back on Friday.  Aims games is a New Zealand wide sporting event where lots of people/teams go to play against other schools or even adults.  I wasn't apart of this event.

The Year 6 Enrollment Evening
The enrollment evening was on Wednesday, and it is where year 6's come, and learn about our school for when they come next year.  I was at the enrollment evening modeling the uniforms.

Ski Trip
The Ski Trip people leave on Sunday, and get back on Thursday next week.  The Ski Trip is when a group of students pay to go to the ski mountains, and have a wonderful time learning how to ski.

That's pretty much all the things that happened this week.

Week 7 Term 3

Bonjour,

Lots of things happened this week, for example:
Wims Kapa Haka
Murrays Bay
and the Aims Games people also left in the weekend

Sadly, I am not involved in any of these activities, but at lest I could get ahead in my work because there wasn't as much noise as usual.  We have mufti day next week though, and I am quite excited.  At the mufti day they're selling bandannas, to funraise for a brand called Canteen, and Canteen are supporting young people living with cancer.  Also, at lunch time on mufti day they're going to do a sausage sizzle, and the person running that is Kyra Lummans, and she has decided to also funraise for cancer because recently her step mum lost a fight against cancer, so Kyra decided to take a stand.  She has shaved her head, and raised hundreds of dollars for Canteen so they can help others like Kyras step mum.  Kyra is also my sisters friend, so she comes over to my house a lot, so she can have some time away from her home.

Week 6 Term 3

Bonjour,
I did my speech again this week, and it went really well.  I got in to school finals!!!  School finals is in the last week of this term.  When I was doing team finals there were seven year 7's, and only two made it into school finals, and it was me, and another girl named Alissa.  Her speech was about how we should have more theme parks in New Zealand.  It was quite interesting.  On Tuesday I finished my bag for Tech Arts, and I am hoping to get a picture of it on here ( along with a picture of my pillow I never put on).  The rest of the week was pretty much the same.  On Friday we started normal Friday sport again, and I am doing Jump Jam.

Week 5 Term 3

Bonjour,
I did my speech again on Monday, and I got into team finals!  I am really exited, and nervous because I have to do it again next week in front of my whole team which is like five classes!  On Tuesday we had Tech Arts, and I have started a bit of my bag, and it's really fun making it.  On Wednesday we french in the afternoon, and we are learning our colours, some sound a lot like the english ones.  On Thursday we didn't do much because we had people in and out for most of the day.  On Friday we had Tech Arts, and I almost finished my bag!  I just need to do a bit more then I can take it home.  On Friday we had Cross Country, and the course was three kilometers.  I came 26th out of 97 year 7 girls which I suppose is pretty good for me anyway.

Week 4 Term 3

Bonjour!
It's only week four, and things are already getting exciting for me.  On Monday the year 8's did their speeches, and they were really good, a lot of them got into class finals which means they have to say it again next Monday.  On Tuesday we had Tech Arts, and I finally finished my pillow!  I am going to get a photo of it on my blog today or tomorrow, hopefully.  We have started making a bag now, and mine is going to be really cool.  I am experimenting with some bag designs, but I hope it works.  On Wednesday were the year 7's speeches, and mine went surprisingly well for my first class speech.  It was exactly 3 minutes and 33 seconds, which is kind of perfect timing I suppose, the only thing I did wrong was that I spoke a little too fast, but I still made it into class finals!  I am really happy, and I hope that I will be able to slow it down for Monday.  We also had french again on Wednesday afternoon, and I'm getting quite good with my pronunciation.  Today we don't have much on, Thursdays  are kind of a quiet day for us because most of the class is out at band for most of the day.  We do have singing on Thursdays though, which I quite enjoy, and there is fun Jump Jam at lunch so I am happy!  I can't wait till tomorrow to do some more on my bag in Tech Arts!

Week 3 Term 3

Bonjour!
This week has been quite busy for me so far, lots of things have happened.  Puniu (green) won the haka last Friday, even though  they kind of cheated, but I guess we will have to deal with that.  On Monday night, my Chinese students arrived, their names are Helen, and Angel.  They're really friendly, and they're the same age as me!  On Tuesday we had tech arts, (we are still doing a pillow,) and Helen and Angel went to food with Room 2 because its easier for them to cook then sew.  On Wednesday morning, Helen was in my class for the morning, and Angel was in Room 2.  After morning tea, they both had english lessons in Room 11, so I wasn't with them.  After lunch the year 7's had french, and Helen and Angel stayed with the year 8's, and once we got back from french we had Jump Jam.  Helen and Angel tried to join in but had a little bit of trouble following the moves.  Today, Helen and Angel are at band, and I had to sort out all the non fiction books in the library, it was soooo boring!

Week 2 Term 3

Bonjour!
I can't believe that it is almost the end of the second week, this term is going really fast.  On Tuesday we started making pillows in tech, and my is really cool, I am hoping to put a photo on my blog when it is done.  In writing we are doing speeches, as well as argument writing.  Our topic(s) is: 'Cats are better then dogs', or, 'Dogs are better then cats'. I am doing the first one because I have a cat.  If we could say that we don't like any of them I would do that because I am allergic to dogs, and cats fur.  Matua Pou has made a school haka which we have been practicing during school singing time.  We have another practice today in the ALC, we are have a house competition tomorrow,(Friday,) to see which house can do the haka the best.

Week 1 Term 3

Bonjour!
Its is the start of Term 3 already. This year has gone really fast, and we have already started lots of things.  In maths we have started learning about algebra patterns, and its quite difficult but quite fun too.  We have started fabric for tech arts and on Tuesday we made a soft tennis ball.  Mine looks more like a potato then a tennis ball.  On Friday, we made a pencil case, mine looks really good, this is a photo of it:

It was really fun making it, and I did it all by myself!  I can't wait to see what we are making next week.  In writing we are still doing speeches, and I am almost finished mine, and we are doing them in week four.  We have also been doing something called readers theatre to improve our public speaking ready for speeches.  Readers theatre is like a play except you don't use actions, just your voice.

Week 11 Term 2

Hi Everybody
Oh My Gosh, its the last week of school already, this term has gone so fast!  On Monday we had a normal work day, doing maths, and writing.  On Tuesday I was sick, and I missed out on our second to last session of Tech Arts!!!! I will have to hurry to catch up to everyone else.  Today was the gym sport, and Arden, Grace, Caitlin, and Hadlee were out of class all day!  We also had french today, after about three weeks, and I had a whole conversation with Mrs Shaw without even making one mistake, she was really proud.   Tomorrow, I don't think we have anything big on, but on Friday we have Tech Arts again, and it is the last day of school, YAY!
I can't wait till Term 3!

Week 10 Term 2

This week has been pretty fun.  On Tuesday we had tech, and I have almost finished my light!  It's a little bit uneven, but I'm hoping it will still work.  Yesterday we played against Belmont pretty much all afternoon, and these are the scores for the games:

Girls Football: 5-0 (To Belmont)
Mixed Hockey:9-0 (To Belmont)
Rugby: 20-55 (To Te Awamutu)
Girls Basketball: 39-29 (To Belmont)

So out of the Te Awamutu games, Belmont definitely won!  I just hope that our team up in Belmont did better than our team down here!  The Belmont students came on Tuesday, and they're leaving today at about ten o'clock, just after the farewell assembly.
Today we have Jump Jam in the afternoon because we missed out on our session yesterday, so that will be a fun way to finish of a Thursday!

Week 9 Term 2

This week has been fun for me, especially today.  We did interhouse Jump Jam today, and we were split into three groups within our houses.  I wasn't in a group though because I was one of the leaders up the front! This morning I woke up with a really sore throat, and I wasn't going to come to school, but I'm glad I did because Waikato won Jump Jam!!!!!  We won by five points, and we were all really happy.  I did 13 songs at Jump Jam today, and I am really tired, but really happy too.  We also had Tech Arts again today for about the first time in three weeks because of the production.  In tech we are making led light creations, and I am making a little box out of plastic and wood for beside my bed, and I can't wait until it is done!

Wednesday, June 10, 2015

Week 8 Term 2

Our class has been quite small this week because most of the class is at production all week.  Today at singing though, we got to see the final seance of the production, and it was really cool.  We have been doing three main subjects this week, writing, maths, and passion hour.  In maths all we have been learning about is area of composite shapes.  In writing we have been doing a book analysis, the book I did is called Dandelion Clocks, its a really good book actually, but also really sad.  On Wednesday we still got to do Jump Jam, but there wasn't many classes and we didn't go for the golden rock, but it was still fun anyway.  I got to be a leader up the front for Jump Jam and it was really cool, I did swap with Hadlee and Arden half way through Jump Jam, but I still had fun.

Monday, June 1, 2015

Week 7 Term 2

Today we haven't done much, lots of maths though.  We were mean't to have Tech Arts but we couldn't because we had a maths test.  Hadlee and I have started doing dishes on Friday instead of the year 8's, its really easy and kind of fun, but we had to miss out on most of Tech last Friday because we were still getting the hang of it.  We have ICAS Science tomorrow, but I won't be surprised if I don't do well because I don't really know anything about science because we didn't do any science at my primary school.  All the people doing production, not me, are out of the class next week practising so we will have a small class for most of next week.  The people that are in here though, will be doing a book report on a book that we have read, which sounds kind of fun.

Week 6 Term 2

This week has been so much fun!  We started woodwork for Tech on Tuesday, but we didn't do anything, we just talked about important safety equipment and what to do if we burn or cut ourselves.  On Friday we are making spinning tops and its going to be really fun.  In writing we are doing another report, and I am doing hedgehogs, they are really cute!

Wednesday, May 20, 2015

Week 5 Term 2

Hi Everyone!
This week in Tech Arts we finished art, so we are moving to our next subject, I haven't finished my kiwiana art yet though, but I can go and finish it at lunchtimes during the week.  On Friday, we are starting design,(woodwork,) it's going to be so fun!
In writing we are doing a penguin report using the notes that we took from a penguin story, it's quite easy and quite fun.
At the moment in maths we have been learning to 'Find the whole of a given fraction'.  It's really easy, all you have to do is this, eg. 4/5 is 120, what is 5/5?  So what you have to do is divide 120 by 4, to get 30, then times it by 5 to get 150 aka 5/5!
This year we have been bringing our own devices, and I have been bringing my tablet that I got for my birthday this year.  It was working really well, until it started glitching!  It has began to glitch really bad, sometimes when I turn it on the screen is white and I can't do anything! Hopefully, I will get it sorted soon and I will be able to use it again.

Monday, May 18, 2015

Week 4 Term 2

Hi Everyone!
This week we haven't been doing much, lots of maths though.  For writing we have to write a memoir, which has to be handed in next week on Monday, I finished mine, I wrote about going out in the cold. ( It was very descriptive)
I had keyboard on Monday, but I accidentally forgot to go, I felt really bad cause I didn't want to waste my mums money, so I went and told her that I was sorry (she forgave me though:)  The rest of the week has pretty much been a blur, everything has been and gone so quickly, hope you all are having a good year!

Monday, May 11, 2015

Week 3 Term 2

On Monday I got my first Shine Band because I got ten respect signatures so now I have a yellow respect band, I'm so happy!
In Tech Arts I am up to painting my kiwiana art, and it's looking really good!  I wasn't here for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week because I was sick, so I missed out on Tech Arts on Friday, which I wasn't happy about, but I'll do it next week!  We are starting design in a few days for Tech Arts, I'm excited, but I don't want to stop art because it's so fun!

Week 2 Term 2

Hi Everybody :-)
This week we haven't had as much on.  On Monday we had the day off because it was Anzac day, and I went to the Anzac parade at 11 o'clock, because my older brother and my younger sister were in it for St.John, and I also wanted to see Te Awamutu Intermediate lay their wreath on behalf of the school.  After lots of people laid their wreaths, their were speeches, and then the release of 100 red balloons to represent poppies and soldiers who fought for our country.  Here is a photo of the memorial were everything happened.

Yesterday we had P.C, the worst subject in the world, P.C stands for Pubertal Change.  It is a really disgusting subject to learn about, and we did it all day!  The worst bit about P.C is I have to do it again next year, and I am NOT looking forward to doing the whole thing again.
Today, mostly everyone in the class has gone on band camp, there are about nine people who haven't, and I'm one of them.  I don't know what you do at band camp, but the year 8's seemed pretty excited, so I just hope that they have a good time.

My Character Description

This is my Character Description I have been doing for the past week or two, it is a made a description that I did all by myself, and it is pretty good ( if I do say so myself).

Why Me?
She looked around the room, then suddenly at me.  She flashed her wicked lipstick smile and I knew I wasn't in for a treat.  She glared at me with her beady eyes and I knew she had picked me.  I scanned the room, searching for a place to get out, I couldn't.  I was stuck here with this wicked witch.  Her wispy gray hair crawled in front of her wrinkled face.  She frowned, stuck it
back behind her ear and turned her attention back to me.  Her bright dress twisted as she bent down to look at me.  "You can do a job for me" she wheezed.  I held down the vomit which had emerged into my throat from her reeking breath.  A voice howled inside of me, "no, please no!"
I closed my eyes and wished this day had never even started, I thought of being home in my nice warm bed again.  I opened my eyes and she was standing there, staring at me again.  She stood up and straightened her wrinkled dress.  She beckoned me with her witchy finger, her nail gleaming in the sunlight.  I gulped, then stood up and followed her, thinking about which horrible job she was going to give me.  Her ugly heels clicked and clacked as she led me in to the hallway, my friends mouthed good luck to me as I exited the room, shaking with uncontainable fear.  She lead me to a room at the very end of the hallway, I imagined a big dark room with lots of spooky equipment and shivered, I was freaking myself out, she wouldn't make me do anything that bad.  We walked into the room and I breathed a sigh of relief.  It was just a small box like room, with a desk and computer.  She trecked into the narrow wooden wardrobe and came back with a mop and a bucket of water.  My heart sank.  "Get mopping" she growled.  She strolled out of the room, and the last thing I heard was an evil cackle.  Frustrated, I grabbed the mop, and got to work, but the whole time one thought lingered in my mind.
Why me?

Week 1 Term 2

It's Term 2, Yay.  We are back at school and we are using our devices even more now, I have got my tablet at school and it is quite handy to have when everyone needs a device, because I don't have to worry about getting a device.
Summer games are today and I am doing non-stop cricket, I can't wait!
Us Year 7's have also started art for Tech Arts, and it is super fun.  We are making clay jandals and they are going to look really good when they're done!  We are also making another piece of art and what we have to do is pick a shape that represents New Zealand or something that represents you.  The shape I picked was Marmite, and what we have to do with our shape is draw it on a piece of paper and then fill it with stuff we love, or things that represent New Zealand.
Today we also had the ANZAC service, we heard poems, stories and letters, it was so sad, I nearly cried.  Also, the SHINE painting is done, and it looks amazing!  Here is a photo of it:
Displaying SHINE Wall for blogs.jpg

That painting is out at the front of the school, I can even see it from my classroom!
As you can probably already tell, I am having heaps and heaps of fun at TAI, (Te Awamutu Intermediate,) but sometimes it does still feel a little strange being at intermediate and not at primary, but I'll get used to it.

Week 9 Term 1

This term has been incredibly fun for me, I have made lots of new friends and I have settled into Te Awamutu Intermediate really well.
I am having heaps of fun doing things like Tec Arts, Jump Jam, and keyboard lessons, and I am sure that I will get involved in lots more activities at this school.  I am really excited to start school again next term, and I also really excited for my friends from primary to get to this school next year!!!

Wellington

Last week I was in Wellington for the whole week on camp.  We all had heaps of fun doing exciting activities all around Wellington city.  I hope I can go to Wellington again, next time with my family so I can show them some of the places I went to.

Zealandia:
Zealandia is a great big wildlife reserve, in which endangered animals are kept so they are saved from going extinct.  At Zealandia we did a big walk all around the park we saw lots of different types of animals such as: birds, insects and we even got to touch a tuatara!

H2O Xtreme:
H2O Xtreme is the Upper Hut Pools.  We had a lot of fun there as well, there was three hydro slides; a dark one, a light one and a yellow one that is like a slide, there was also a non-stop river.  I had a go on all of them.  It was so fun!

Carter Observatory:
Carter Observatory is a place where you can learn about space.  We saw a learned lots of fascinating things. We learnt about different planets and their moons.  One of the exhibits had a little piece of the moon, with a little sign above it saying 'Touch The Moon', so everyone got to touch the moon!  It was really cool.  After looking around we went into a dark room with a screen on the roof, on the screen we watched a little clip about space and then we saw some of the pictures made in the stars.

Parliament:
When we went to Parliament it was a really amazing experience for all of us.  We learnt quite a bit about what happens in Parliament and met two people who are part of Parliament; Barbara Krulger and Andrew Little.  We even got to go into The Camber, the room where all the big decisions are made.  When we were in there they were arguing about housing in New Zealand, it was really interesting.

Capital E:
At Capital E my group did a movie making activity, what you did was you could make mountains and trees and rivers, it was quite fun, but my favourite part of when we were at Capital E was when we made a video called Once Upon A Crime, I played Reporter No.2 and I also played Beauty, from 'Beauty and the Beast'.

Wellington Zoo:
At Wellington Zoo we saw lots of amazing animals like; cheetahs, meerkats, we even saw penguins!
It was a really fun trip.  While we were there I got a gift for each person in my family.  I got a little badge each for my siblings and a little tiger key chain for my mum.

Snorkeling:
We all went snorkeling at Island Bay, it was really amazing.  I was scared at first to get in the water, but then soon settled in.  We saw lots of cool sea life like; different coloured fish, lots of paua, and a giant crab!  It was so fun that in the end I didn't want to hop out.

Holocaust Centre:
The Holocaust Centre was really cool.  I learnt a lot about The Holocaust that I didn't know.  The one thing I found interesting was their collection of one and a half million buttons.  They explained to us that a school had decided to collect them to represent how many children were killed in The Holocaust.  It was really sad that so many children died, but it was amazing how one school had decided to do that to represent all those children.

Museum Of Wellington:
We learnt lots at the Museum Of Wellington about the Wahine Disaster.  The Wahine Disaster is a big cruise ship that crashed in the middle of a storm.  In the Wahine Disaster about 51 people died, we watched a video of the disaster and it was really sad, some of the people survived died the next day from a disease, and some of the lucky survivors didn't die the next day, but lived a normal life again.

I had a really great time in Wellington, I had never been to Wellington before and now I'm glad I did, so an extra big thanks to all those parents who helped us go on camp, we couldn't have done it without you. :-)

Week 7 Term 1

We are going on camp on Sunday and I can't wait!  I have never been to Wellington before so it will be a really exciting experience, but I still need to remember to pack warmer clothes because Mrs Crowe said that it is a bit colder down in Wellington.  In Wellington are going to do lots of cool stuff like; snorkeling, swimming, visiting The Beehive, and loads more, it's going to be really fun!

Week 2 Term 1

The past two weeks have been really fun for me.
We have been learning about face, place and total value, face value is the number, place value is which column the number is in and total value is the number times its column.
My favourite subject is visual language, in visual language I have been making an all about me poster which is loads of fun.
